Associate Members:
Any person local or overseas working, or studying in the field of medicine and health (except medical doctor) who is interested in diagnosis, management and treatment of hernia diseases and whose application is duly proposed, seconded and passed in a Council Meeting shall become an Associated Ordinary Member. Such a member shall enjoy all the privileges of the Society except the power of voting, holding office as a Councillor and of inspection of accounts of the Society

The subscription fees for Associate Members are as follow:
Yearly membership subscription fee: HK$300
Life membership subscription fee: HK$500

Ordinary Members:
Any local and overseas registered medical doctor whose application is duly proposed, seconded and passed in a Council Meeting shall become an Ordinary Member. Such a member shall enjoy all the privileges of the Society except the power of voting, holding office as a Counselor and of inspection of accounts of the Society.

The subscription fees for Ordinary Members are as follow:
Yearly membership subscription fee: HK$900
Life membership subscription fee: HK$1500

Executive Members:
Any Hong Kong registered medical doctor whose application is duly proposed, seconded and passed by at least 60% or more Councilors in a Council Meeting shall become an Executive Member. Executive Member must pay life subscription fee.

Honorary Members:
This membership conferred under exceptional circumstances by the Society as a sign of respect and appreciation to a leader in the field of treatment and research of Hernia and/or a person who has made significant contributions to the Society. This person shall be proposed and seconded by two Executive Members of the Society and the proposal shall be passed in a council meeting and subsequently endorsed in the minutes of the Annual General Meeting. Honorary membership shall be for life

Corporate Sponsor
Corporate Sponsor may be elected by application from companies with an interest in Hernia.
The Council committee will decide on the application for Corporate Sponsor by a simple majority vote.
The Corporate sponsor will participate in a special meeting to be held with Councillor at least once a year
Corporate sponsor will enjoy the privilege of participation in the society’s clinical activities, both in hernia education and training.
